Confirmed: Jennifer Lawrence & Casts To Attend ‘Catching Fire’ at Comic-Con

It’s a good day to be a Tribute.

You see, we’ve got all the scoop on when and how you’ll see the much-anticipated new full-length trailer for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” who will be doing the talking at the San Diego Comic-Con panel later this week, and as if that weren’t enough to feed your hunger, we’ve also got that awesome, exclusive new photo above for you to ogle.

Let’s start with this new pic. While Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) doing the District 11 salute may imply that they’re still on their victory tour of the Districts that followed the conclusion of the 74th Hunger Games, it’s otherwise clear that this is a moment from the reaping or, rather, the moment where they must accept that they’re going back into the Arena.

Of course, this didn’t come as a huge surprise. Once it was announced that former winners would be entering the Quarter Quell – the special Arena slated for every 25 years – the only question was whether Peeta or Haymitch would be joining Katniss. This image – which also features escort Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) in another outlandish getup – gives us our answer.

 

How that all goes down, however, we’ll leave for the live action, which brings us back to that trailer that’s sure to get your blood pumping overtime.

Not surprisingly, it’ll be making its debut during that Saturday panel in San Diego. Katniss herself, Jennifer Lawrence, of course! The Oscar winner will be joined by Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, and director Francis Lawrence. And yes, we’ll have a full report following the fun.
